Bandages and support

Neoprene brace: ankle, knee, and thigh. These braces are nice because they keep the injury warm as well as supporting it.

Cloth and elastic brace: ankle and knee. The standard support.

Cloth reinforced athletic tape. Provides the best compression. Good support for ankles. Can be constricting. Requires shaving. Not usually appropriate for knee injuries.

Ace bandage. Not as effective as tape, but is quick to put on and take off.

Medium weight clothing for limiting range of motion. Baggy pants plus shorts. Also you can use knee pads, without a brace, for some limiting of range.

Weights and training gear

I don't use a lot of complicated weights for rehab. I don't go to the gym and use the Nautilus. I use simple free weights and dumbells. I use a lot of repetitive type training, like jump rope and jumping.

Weighted ankle straps. Velcro straps hold them on. About two pounds each.

Disc shaped weights. Can be attached to the ankle weights. Two, five, and ten pound sizes.

A jump rope.

Other equipment

An exercise bike.

A bench for free weight work.

Free weights or curling type dumbells.
